The key differences are as follows:Under the Era Buildsys PEB system the complete steel building package is delivered at your site from a single supplier as a fully finished product. This includes the structural steel, cladding system and building accessories. This results in faster and simpler site erection for your project as it involves just bolting together the various building components as per the erection drawings provided. No site fabrication or welding is involved. Not only does this save construction time for you but at the same time provides superior quality compared to conventional steel construction.

PEB systems are highly efficient in design due to synergy between building components. Primary members are made of tapered built- up sections and roof/ wall secondary members from cold rolled sections designed as continue beams. We ensure that we use high strength and all structural elements are fully optimized by the proprietary computerized design program.

The main advantages offered by our PEB systems are:

Yes, masonry walls can be tied to the PEB solutions i.e steel columns with ties for lateral support. In such cases we at Era Buildsys will design the structure with low horizontal deflections to prevent cracking of masonry. Sometimes consultants also suggest isolation of the masonry wall from the steel structure, which results in optimization of steel building and lower cost.

And as per your requirement we can provide beams to support masonry walls above openings etc.. Our designs will follow the requirements of the architectural drawings on any project

Yes, we at Era Buildsys provide steel deck over steel floor framing to receive cast in site slab. The steel deck acts as a shuttering to support the wet concrete. The slab should be reinforced and designed for the total floor load.

Due to lower weight, we estimate savings to be at least 5%. However if you compare with local method of using fixed bases versus pinned based in Era Buildsys design the saving would be in excess of 15%.

Yes, Era Buildsys will submit detailed design calculations to the client for approval prior to fabrication of the building. All comments received form client on the approval drawings are incorporated by us in the final erection drawings before we proceed with the fabrication.

Unless otherwise specified, the minimum thickness provided by us for built-up sections are 3.5 mm, which is as per the AISC code. However, if you have a specific requirement for instance minimum thickness of 6 mm as per IS 800 or any other minimum thickness, Era Buildsys will be more than happy to provide the same.

We can provide angle bracing instead of rod bracing when required. At walls when Z bracing is not allowed due to access or other reasons, we will provide portal frames or strut beams as per your design requirements.

We at Era Buildsys provide insulation at roof and wall to achieve the required U value. Beyond this to control temperature inside the building our clients provide us a suitable designed HVAC system.

Fire resistance on steel structure can be achieved by enclosing the steel with a fire protection system. This can be by spray application of fire resistance coating on steel members or enclosing the steel with gypsum board as per UL approved details. The fire protection contractor will design the system to achieve the required fire rating. Era Buildsys will provide the surface area of steel sizes to design the fire protection system. To field stiffen an existing structural member, it is normal practice to weld cover plates, angles, web stiffeners, etc., as per design requirements. Era Buildsys building can provide the required detail when requested.

Yes we at Era Buildsys have supplied PEB systems for a wide range of weather condition including snow loads, high desert temperatures, high humidity, proximity to sea, heavy rainfall, cyclone wind speeds, seismic loads, etc based on the conditions at your site and the building usage, we will design and manufacture solutions/structures to suit the requirements specified.

No. Era Buildsys has the ability provide structures of all sizes – right from a small car park shed to a massive industrial complex. However, in case of shipments, a minimum one- truckload would be economical.

Era Buildsys can supply the complete steel portion including standard accessories. In case there are additional things procured by you which are not manufactured by Era Buildsys and are not included in the our scope of work they can be supplied to us as buy outs (E.g. Rolling up doors, cranes etc.) For mezzanine floors, we provide the steel framing and steel deck to receive in site concrete slab. If flooring is of pre-cast concrete panels we would provide the floor supports beams.

The savings would be basically due to less number of column foundations due to large spans and bay spacing plus reduction in column reactions due to less dead load of steel. It is not possible to quantify the cost savings as it would vary by type of project.

IS codes are more stringent in certain areas like the lime serviceability criteria. However, we recommend accepting the American codes as these have been used widely in millions of PEB buildings across North America and other parts of the world. Thus, offering a proven record of safety. Each year in the US alone, about 2 mn tons of PEB's are sold based on the American codes. Also, American codes are continuously updated based on the latest research findings. Hence these codes result in added safety and economies of scale. IS codes being outdated, are more conservative thus leading to increase in weight and cost without adding value to your structure. However, if our client insists on IS codes we design the structure accordingly.

The standard cladding thickness provided by us at Era Buildsys is 26G and 24G. These are available in stock in various colors. But, if you require a different kind of thickness that too can be offered by us to suit your project need. However, just one thing needs to be factored in, which is delivery schedule. As this would be a special order undertaken by us the time required to execute it may vary depending on the specifications provided.

The procedure involved for procuring quotes from us is as follows:

• First the inquiry needs to be sent to our sales office in your region. Once we receive this, we at Era Buildsys will design and price each project based on the bid documents.
• Post the design we will submit a proposal offer with detailed scope of work coupled with the terms for, supply, price and delivery.

Further when requested, proposal drawings with column reactions are provided.

• We at Era Buildsys do not quote unit rates. We will design and price the building and sign the contract based on a fixed price. The standard mode of payment is 10 - 20 % down payment and balance by L/C.

No. At Era Buildsys we provide column reactions and base plate details of Anchor Bolt plan drawing. After this it is the responsibility of the civil consultant to design the foundations which would support the column reactions.

Yes, we do provide design calculations for your structure as and when requested.

All field connections are only by bolted. There is absolutely no site welding required. This is one of the major advantages offered by us which considerably reduces the time for site erection.

The transport component would depend on the distance of the job site from Era Buildsys plant. However on an average it is about 3 - 8%. Due to the reduced steel weight because of the PEB technology used by Era Buildsys and the nesting properties of secondary and sheeting components, the freight cost would be lower than that of conventional construction.

As the structures provided by us at Era Buildsys buildings are assembled at site by bolting, the units can be dismantled and shifted to new locations and reassembled. Era Buildsys can also provide small portable units, which can be transported on trucks from place to place.

Era Buildsys is ideally suited for warehouse construction and over the years we have supplied several warehouses across the country for various State and private warehousing corporations. Due to the significant optimization capabilities at Era Buildsys system and the quick delivery schedule, you as a customer will benefit from cost and time savings your project.

It is more economical to initially design the structure as this would avoid any site modification at a later stage. However in cases where our clients' need modifications which were previously not considered can be done on site by incorporating the changes. To avoid this, normally, consultants take a conservative approach and initially specify higher design loads to cover for future requirements.

Era Buildsys provides detailed erection drawings, erection procedures manual and free technical assistance through its technical representative at your project site during erection. We also, the services of our certified builders to clients as they are trained to carry out erections for the structures provided by us.

Yes, since the building is site assembled by bolting, it is possible to dismantle and rebuild at a new location. The cost benefits have to be worked out on a case by case basis which would depend on size, complexity and distance of the new location.
